Research Group: Soft Robotics

Biography

I studied MEng Electronic Engineering (with a year in industry) at the University of York, graduating with a 1st in 2020. At York, I specialised in control engineering, mechatronics and robotics. I also spent my year in industry at Renesas Electronics in the Applications Engineering department, working on both outreach projects and industrial solutions. Research has always been an interest of mine from a young age (especially robotics), and after coming across FARSCOPE in 2017 I knew this was the perfect place for me to pursue a PhD.

My PhD research will focus on soft robotics, anthropomorphism, biomimicry and upper limb prosthetics, with the supervision and guidance of Dr Helmut Hauser and Dr Antonia Tzemanaki, and my initial project will look at the morphology of soft prosthetic sockets for upper limb design.
