Biography

I graduated in 2023 from the University of the West of England with a degree in Robotics, forming a solid background for further study in FARSCOPE. During this time I designed, created, and programmed a robotic arm, trained and Implemented machine learning vision-based algorithms for the classification and localisation of objects in integration with physical systems, and developed skills in the navigation and probabilistic localisation of mobile robots. This passion for multi-disciplinary research in engineering led me to FARSCOPE, where with other interests in psychology and ethics I can fully pursue the research and development of intelligent and autonomous systems.

I have prior work experience in construction, customer service, and IT support, and have completed an internship in the BRL investigating if we can force Convolutional Neural Networks to classify objects in the same way that humans do, drawing from several psychological theories, such as category theory.

My Research interests lie in the intersection of machine learning, vision, and mobile robotic agents, and look forwards to pursuing research throughout my PHD in how intelligent vision can be used to guide robots in their interaction with the world.
