Biography

I graduated with a BEng in Engineering Product Development and a minor in Design, Technology and Society from the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) in 2022. Throughout my undergraduate education, I explored many research topics -- including medical devices, acoustics, mycology, and social sciences. I love to see how researchers across different disciplines think and solve problems! Hence, through FARSCOPE, I hope to be able to work with supervisors outside the field of robotics.

For my PhD, I am interested in exploring bio-inspired robotics and robots for hazardous environments.

It is important to me that my work contributes positively to society. My undergraduate education in robotics engineering has taught me how to create. But to do so blindly would be morally and socially irresponsible. Through FARSCOPE, I hope to gain advanced research skills that will help me think critically about what I want to contribute to the world and develop the problem-solving skills required to bring them to fruition.
