PhD title: Advancing Robotic touch: Development and Application of a Novel Tactile Fingertip Sensor
Biography
I come from a background of electronics engineering and after graduating from the University of the West of England (UWE) I joined the Bristol Robotics Laboratory where I worked as a Research Engineer for the Bristol Bio-Energy Centre. During my time there, I’ve designed and prototyped embedded systems, low-power electronics, environmental sensors, energy harvesters and other peripherals to bring autonomy to the energetically independent sanitation unit powered by the Microbial Fuel Cells.
My research interests are generally broad, but within my PhD I wish to explore ways to improve dexterity of anthropomorphic robot hands as well as enhance tactile feedback.
Outside of work and studies I enjoy travelling, spending time in nature and exploring new places.
