Biography
I graduated from University of the West of England (UWE) with a degree in Aerospace Engineering whilst working part time in the machinery automation industry. My role entailed investigating and solving machinery problems by analysing data and understanding the machinery’s architecture to improve machine efficiency. I left the machinery automation industry after 4 years to pursue a master’s in research engineering which centered on the basics of robotics and research. This exposure led me to pursue a PhD in robotics and autonomous systems.
My current research focus is on utilising machine vision techniques for the detection of neurodegenerative diseases; working in the machine vision group. This is based on recent research that indicates that neurodegenerative diseases can be identified and diagnosed by analysing eye movements.
